Experienced. Impartial. Committed to Justice.
That’s Stephen Corr.
About
Stephen Corr is a highly experienced, compassionate, and fair litigator who has practiced law in Bucks County for the past 25 years. He is a proud alumni of both the University of Notre Dame and Villanova University School of Law. He has been an active member of the Bucks County community since moving to Doylestown in 1995. Mr. Corr currently serves as partner at Begley, Carlin, & Mandio, LLP in Langhorne, PA.
Mr. Corr has represented individuals, small businesses, and large corporations throughout his career. He has litigated cases in all areas of the Court of Common Pleas in Bucks County, Civil Court, Criminal Court, Family Court, and Orphan’s Court. He has also litigated cases in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware and Chester Counties as well as in other state and federal courts across the country. As lead trial counsel in more than 70 jury trials, his practice is not only in the office, but in the courtroom working with judges and juries on a regular basis. Bucks County deserves a Judge with broad experience in all areas of the law, and Stephen Corr is the candidate with that experience.
Legal Experience
Mr. Corr’s practice is concentrated in the areas of personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation. He has successfully represented hundreds of individual clients in actions against various pharmaceutical companies, as well as those injured as a result of the misconduct of tobacco companies. Currently, he represents individuals who have suffered injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, or other negligence. He also serves as solicitor to the Bensalem Township School Board.
Since 2001, Mr. Corr has proudly served as co-counsel for families of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Together with his co-counsel, he filed the first lawsuit against those who planned and financed those terrorist attacks. He continues to diligently pursue justice for the many victims who lost their loved ones in Pennsylvania, New York, and Washington, D.C. Due to his vast trial experience, and his ability to work well with opposing counsel, he has been appointed by federal judges in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to serve as Plaintiffs Liaison Counsel in several class-action lawsuits.
He has also been appointed to serve on Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in those cases. Mr. Corr frequently is asked by colleagues to serve as an arbitrator in cases nationwide. These appointments by federal judges and colleagues, in addition to his extensive law experience, have provided Mr. Corr with many of the skills that will make him a successful judge.
Community Involvement
Since moving to Bucks County in 1995, Stephen Corr has been an active member of our community in many ways. From 1995-2000, he served as the first president of the Patriot’s Ridge Homeowners Association. After moving to Warrington Township in 2000, he served on the newly formed Bike & Hike Trail Committee which planned and laid out a bike and hike trail system for township residents. He then served on the BOCA Appeals Board for one year, overseeing new construction in the township to make sure it met all the current building codes.
He then served on the Warrington Township Parks & Recreation Board for two years.
In 2005, Mr. Corr was elected to the first of three terms on the Central Bucks School Board. While on the School Board, he was elected by colleagues to serve as President four times and also served as Vice-President four times. By the time he left the Board in 2016, he and the Board had reduced the debt by more than $200 million, had standardized test scores in the top five in the state, and had three years of no tax increases. During this time, he also served two years on the Board of the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology and two years on the Board of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit.
Mr. Corr is an active member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Warrington. He coached his daughters for many years in CYO girls basketball, softball, and volleyball teams. He has also served his parish community as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, visiting the sick and homebound of the parish and bringing Holy Communion to those unable to attend Mass, even throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
